Summer Learning Journey
First Activity
Groovy Man
Activity 1 : Ready To Roll
After reading this I felt very curious because I couldn't watch the videos because they were blocked. This talks about a TV show that broadcasts on Saturdays.
Activity 2 : Bell Bottom Pants
The 1970's fashion was quite unique. I like the girls skirts and t-shirt style. I also like how the men look so official. I'm not a huge fan of the men patterned pants though. I also dislike the girls pants because I'm not into that kind of style.
I'll be posting my next activity soon.

Wheels Day
Talofa Lava blogging world,
On Monday the whole school had a fun day/wheels day. It was a very hot day but everyone had fun. There were games, a water slide, the pool and a free wheels time session. We were in 3 groups and rotated around so we could try everything. Wheels were optional. We also played two different games in our groups with the teachers. We played capture the flag ( it was actually a ball ) and T-Ball.

2017 Netball Fiasco
Hello blogging world,
On Wednesday the 27th in term 3 the netball team had a little party/prize giving. We had a blast. It started at 6:00 and ended around 6:30. We had lollies, pizza, drinks, coloured popcorn, music and there were heaps of awards. Kayci ( one of my friends and an amazing netball player ) got player of the season! She really deserved it because she works really hard during netball games and training. There were heaps of other awards, you can find out in the slide below. I got 2 awards and everyone got a badge. One was for playing on Saturday's and the other one was for playing in zones.
I'm really happy we had a prize giving/party for our netball team. I am really proud of what we have achieved. If you want to find out our scores you can find out in my other blog post further down. I loved playing netball and representing. Be sure to check out my other netball post too. I'm really sad that it's now over but I really enjoyed the seasons. Feel free to comment and check out the rest of my learning. Blog you later!

Preparation For The Gala Day
Hello blogging world,
I'm back with another exciting blog post. This term we have been working really hard for our Gala Day. It would be great if you could come along to the Gala day. The Waikowhai Primary Schools Gala day is on the 25th of November. Manukau ( my class ) are making recycled paper. We learned how to make recycled paper and started to make Christmas and Birthday cards to sell on the day. We are also making seed bombs. Our Gala day is based on sustainability. Here are the instructions for making recycled paper below.
What you will need:
Ripped paper, water, big container, window screen, photo frame, paper towels, bag and something to mix with/hand mixer.
How to make recycled paper
Step 1. Getting Ready
First we have to rip up heaps of paper that have been already used and put it into a bag.
Step 2. Making the pulp
Next we make pulp. Place some paper in a bucket, about half way. Pour the same amount of water in. Mix it together with a mixer or potato masher. Keep on going until it feels all mushed up and
Step 3. Making the paper
Tip the pulp into a big container. Pour some water in ( it doesn't matter whether it's cold or hot). Put the window screen in between the two frames. Hold it tight. Put it in the water mixture and scoop some paper out. Carefully take the window screen out and flip it upside down onto a cleaning towel. Slowly peel the window screen of and allow your paper to dry. When it is dried you are done!
Here is a presentation below!
It's easy making recycled paper. The hard part is making enough cards to sell at the Gala day. We have also made some posters to hang around the school. I really enjoy making recycled paper and making Christmas cards too. I can't wait until the Gala Day! Feel free to comment and check out the rest of my learning!

Maths Fun
Hello blogging world,
For the past few weeks for maths we had to use our imagination because we got given a math challenge. We pretended that we were going on a 11 day vacation. We had to book flights, caravans, hotels and ferries. It has all the places I went to and how much it costs. Have a look at my work below.
I learnt that the fun things are the most expensive. I enjoyed doing all the activities in this slide. My total cost was $4470.69!
Most of my friends spent more. Feel free to comment down below and look at the rest of my learning!
