Room 7, 8 and 9's Where were you born map

Today for Cybersmart we did a map with room 9 and 7 on where we were born. Take a look at my map, my questions and my answers.

How far have some students travelled in their lifetime to reach WPS?
8,881km
17.5Km
2,703Km
 !,842Km
Why do people make the choice to move to different countries?

  • Start a new chapter to their life
  • To get a job
  • Stay and see their relatives
  • Travel the world one by one
  • Explore and experience other countries

Is this a trend in NZ society? What does the media tell us?
Yes in different parts of NZ. I think it's a trend because when I go out with my family I see heaps of different people from lot's of different countries. They don't all have the same skin colour and that is not a bad thing at all.

This is an amazing video about people judging other people about their skin colour and how they look. Definitely watch this and comment about what you think and what you feel about this video.Listen carefully. Click on The Lie. This might even make you cry.

The Lie from Untitled Productions on Vimeo.

This made me feel sad because people are saying bad things and judging people. I believe  that  we should stop every single lie. This has never happened to me before but I think I know what it feels like to be judged and it's not good at all. This nearly made me cry.

Today in cybersmart room 8 had to create a map of where they were born. Then we chose a relative and wrote were they were born. Take a look at y map and be sure to comment.

Mean social-media scenario's / cybersmart

Today in cybersmart we have been talking about mean scenario's around social-media that might happen in real life. My scenario was about Facebook because I had a really good idea. Read on and please leave comment about what you would do in this case.

What I would do is:

-Report the person
-Tell my parents because I can trust them.
-Delete my account and make another one with a different password.
